“The things that make us different are the things that make us unique. “

When it comes to an unconventional music career New Zealand Native, Rapture Ruckus fearlessly paved it’s own path and marched to its own drum. With a carrier that spanned two decades, the ruckus machine helmed by juggernaut creative, Brad Dring and his powerhouse collective of collaborators, began banging out hits in the early 2000s, and their list of accomplishments cannot go ignored.

After winning a New Zealand Music Award (Tui) in 2007 for their debut release, ‘I Believe’, and reaching the Top of the NZ album charts in 2009 with their live CD/DVD, ‘Live At Worlds End’, they caught the eye of Seattle based record label BEC/Tooth&Nail and signed a deal later that year. In 2014 things stepped up when their 4th studio album, ‘Invader Deluxe’ debuted at #1 on the Billboard Christian Album chart in the US and broke the Top 40 on the Billboard Top 200. That same year it won a NRT ’We Love’ Award and 5 Dove Award nominations. Along with getting to tour and perform with the likes of Lecrea, Switchfoot, NF and P.O.D., Rapture Ruckus has also had the opportunity to headline festivals all over the world from New Zealand to the USA , Australia, Canada, Switzerland, The Netherlands, Hong Kong, Singapore and South Africa.

Never straying far from its roots and message, Rapture Ruckus always championed themes of Faith, identity, acceptance, redemption and social justice. In a 2016 interview, Brad Dring said, “I’ve always been attracted to music full of passion, honesty and truth, I guess I’ve just always written songs for the 16-year-old version of myself who was desperately trying to fit in and be noticed.”

In January of 2020 Rapture Ruckus performed for the final time to a sold-out audience at Festival One in New Zealand.   Brad Dring currently resides in Raglan New Zealand.
